General Ramblings — Part One
The hardest part about blogging, for me at least, is the start. How do you even begin after vanishing for what feels like a small eternity? I toyed with the idea of writing a formal “Introduction” post… but I’m still toying with it. In the meantime, I thought: why not a quick post announcing my return?
That part was easy. The tricky bit came afterwards. The introduction remains unwritten, glaring at me from my mental to-do list, so instead I’ve decided to embrace the chaos and just launch into some General Ramblings. So here we are.
Getting Back to It
I’ve been away from the blogging world for quite a while. If you’ve been wondering why I haven’t popped up in your comments section in forever — I promise it wasn’t because I was abducted by aliens, joined a silent monastery, or ran away to become a goat herder in the Alps. Real life happened.
In short:
- My Dad passed away.
- My mother-in-law passed away.
- My Wife had a full hip replacement
- Our trans son walked out on us.
- I changed jobs.
So yes — life got a little… full.
I could have easily decided not to come back to blogging at all, but here I am. Why? Because blogging is therapy for me. It’s the place where my thoughts and feelings stretch their legs, have a cup of tea, and then get typed into existence. I love the creative part too — picking themes, agonizing over fonts, rearranging layouts like I’m nesting before giving birth to a post, and of course, writing itself.
Moving Away from my In the Pink Fog Blog
If you’ve followed me before, you might remember my old blog, In the Pink Fog. I blogged there for years, until the content slowly dried up like an abandoned houseplant. When I stepped away, I went on a dramatic purge of that blog — almost everything went into the trash, except for a handful of favourite posts I couldn’t bear to part with.
In hindsight, maybe I was a little… overzealous. But there’s no use crying over deleted posts (though I do occasionally sob quietly into my tea). What’s done is done, and now I can look forward to redrafting those old blog entries and breathing new life into them here.
This new blog is my clean slate. Choosing a name was ridiculously easy, because let’s be honest: I am still very much in the pink fog.
For the Uninitiated: What is the Pink Fog?
“Pink fog” is a slang term for that heady, intoxicating mental state where the excitement, pleasure, or euphoria from crossdressing becomes so strong that it clouds your judgment, self-control, and general grasp of reality. Think of it as a giddy feminine haze — you’re floating in a cloud of lipstick and lace, and the rest of the world just… blurs.
A Little Help from AI
This time around, I’m experimenting with AI to help redraft my content. The idea is to make my writing a little funnier but still keep the thoughtful bits intact — like a chocolate cake with a layer of chilli for a surprising kick.
Of course, I still have the final say over what gets published. If AI turns my heartfelt ramblings into something that reads like a toaster manual, it’s straight to the digital bin.
Being Honest and Frank
Same as before, I plan to be honest and frank here — which, yes, is a bit like saying “wet and damp,” but I think the double hit gets the point across. I’ll be open about my thoughts and feelings on living day to day as a guy who adores all things feminine.

ReplyDeleteThanks Isobel, it's good to be back. Yes, things are okay here, how's things with you?
DeleteGlad to hear - mine is hectic as usual, praying for a lottery win so I can quit work 😂 - but it does pay for the adventures at least. The remaining months of the year might be more relaxed.
DeleteI'm sorry to read about all the troubles you had. Wishing you a calmer future ... and the joy of dressing in what you love. Sue xx
